Herbs and food come from the same origin and are traditional food therapies. They are used to influence body functions to achieve better health or treat illness.

According to literature, the origin of Chinese medicinal food therapy and self-health care can be traced back to the time of emperor Xia Yu (2070 BC).

​

Shennong is the father of Chinese medicine and credited with identifying hundreds of medical herbs by personally testing their properties. He figured out that each herb has different tastes and properties for healing purposes.

There is medicinal food recorded in the book “Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic”. The taste and properties are taken to replenish essence and Qi.

​After many generations of development, medicinal food can not only satisfy people's hunger and desire for delicious food, but it can also play an important role in maintaining human health, regulating physiological functions, enhancing body quality, preventing disease occurrence, assisting in disease treatment, and promoting body recovery.
